NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Mayor Dwight Livingston says the City of North Platte is extending the application deadline for its city administrator position. The original deadline was January 15th. Livingston says the new deadline is March 2nd.

Current administrator, Jim Hawks, is retiring in May. Applications for his job are now due by 5:00 p.m. CT on March 2, 2020.

Livingston also wants all candidates who have presently applied to complete the City’s Employment Application form. The form is available at the Mayor’s office or found online on the City’s website.

An ad hoc Committee will review all applications and then recommend three final candidates to the City Council. Committee members include the Mayor, City Council President Jim Nisley, Current City Administrator Jim Hawks and the City’s Chief Legal Counsel, Terry Waite.
