Every year volunteers gather at the Hall County Veterans Park remembering those who have lost their lives. Each flag raised stood next to a brick dedicated to a Nebraska veteran.
This year the park also has the traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Veterans say between the wall and the flags it's a great way to remember their fallen brothers and sisters.
"This is a great way for us Vietnam Veterans to show our respect, our remembrance and honor those of our fellow comrades who didn't have the opportunity to come back here to the real world," Ron Hitch with the United Veterans Club said.
This is the 40th year the flags have been raised just before Memorial Day weekend.
