Police looking for man involved in weekend crash in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island police are refereeing a man for arrest following an accident over the weekend that closed down a portion of south locust in Grand Island.

GI police say a man that crashed his vehicle into another then fled on foot.

According to police 20 year old Ricardo Erives caused an accident that sent multiple people to the hospital with non life threatening injuries Saturday night.

Police say Erives was traveling on south Locust speeding to avoid arrest when he crashed into another vehicle, sending the victims vehicle on its side and into another car.

Police say Erives then fled the scene on foot.

The portion of south Locust at Bismarck was closed down for some time.

Erives is facing multiple charges including flight to avoid arrest, speeding and possession of drugs and alcohol.
