Promotional Grants will help organizations host summer tourism events

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte / Lincoln County Visitors Bureau is giving away almost $27,000 in Promotional, Incentive and Sports Incentive funding.

The Lincoln County Raceway is getting $8,000 to promote and host the 2019 racing season, Including the Wild West Challenge, the Lucas Oil Sprint Cars, and the Late Model Show.

The Midwest Championship Fights will use $9,500 to promote the event and attract nationally recognized fighters to the 2019 St. Paddy’s Beatdown.

Dusty Trails is hosting the North Platte Tanking Race on April 6th. Over $1,600 was awarded for race promotion and prize money

2019 marks the 48th year for the Gail Wicks Memorial Softball Tournament and the Buffalo Bill Softball Tournament. $3,300.00 will be used to the host the tournaments and pay officials.

Almost $4,000 will promote the June The Miss Nebraska Scholarship Pageant.

The Advisory committee is allocating $600 for prize money for the ‘Cornhole De Mayo’ Cornhole tournament.

North Platte lodging taxes pay for the Promotional, Incentive and Sports Incentive funding.
