Red Cross helping 23 people whose apartment building flooded in Lexington

The American Red Cross is helping 23 individuals after their apartment building was flooded overnight in Lexington.

The Red Cross is helping 23 individuals in 8 units – 20 adults and 3 children after flooding affected their apartment building located at 1503 N. Erie Street, Lexington, Nebraska.

The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits, containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the flooding.

Red Cross caseworkers will follow up with those affected in the coming days to work on a longer-term recovery plan.
