Report: Nebraska ranks 27th out all states for working moms

Women make up nearly half of the U.S. workforce. And, more than 70 percent of moms with young children are working. So where does Nebraska stack up when it comes to working moms?

According to a new study by WalletHub, Nebraska comes in at 27th out of all the states, 28th in child care and 50th for daycare systems.

In order to determine the best and worst states for working moms, WalletHub’s analysts compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across three key dimensions: 1) Child Care, 2) Professional Opportunities and 3) Work-Life Balance.

Vermont earned the top spot for best states for working mothers, followed by Minnesota in 2nd and New Jersey in 3rd. The states that are the worst according to this study are Alabama, then Louisiana and Nevada.
