Shots fired from pickup Sunday afternoon

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Grand Island police are looking for a suspect they believe may have been responsible for firing a gun from a pickup over the weekend.

It happened Sunday afternoon. Witnesses say they saw someone shoot anywhere from two to five rounds from a pickup near the intersection of 9th Street and Broadwell Avenue.

Police found the pickup shortly after in the 900 block of East 12th Street. There was a magazine from a handgun on the seat and one casing visible on the passenger floorboard.

There are no reports of any people or buildings hit by the shot. The case remains open.
