Teacher assault leads to arrest

A tussle over crab legs led to arrests in Huntsville, AL

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) A student in the Skills Academy program in Grand Island Public Schools was arrested yesterday after assaulting and threatening a teacher.

According to the Grand Island Police, the 13-year-old male student grabbed a teachers hair and attempted to hit her before another teacher intervened. The student also threatened to kill the teacher. He then left the school building, which is in the 4100 block of West 13th Street. .

Police were able to catch up with him at a different location and take the juvenile for questioning at the Law Enforcement Center. Officials with the probation department assisted in in the interview. ..

After that interview, the boy was taken to a juvenile detention center. The youth was arrested on charges of terroristic threats and third-degree assault.
