Three arrested on drug possession to distribute charges in Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Three Arizona residents face drug charges in Grand Island after an arrest at a Super 8 Motel.

Grand Island Police went to the motel on South Locust Street around 10:30 p.m.Thursday. A drug dog working with police in the parking lot made contact on a 2007 Toyota Camry with Arizona license plates. Police made contact with the people associated with the car at the hotel and searched the car. Police then found what they described as "multiple pounds" of methamphetamine in the car.

Arrested at the scene were Siria Karley Sicairos Lopez, 27, Araceli Alverez-Campos, 25, and a 17-year-old male. All three are from Phoenix, AZ and were booked into the Hall County Jail.

They were arrested for possession with intent to distribute in excess of 140 grams of meth, which is a Class 1B felony.
