Roadwork is expected to start off the work week, which could cause some delays in the coming days.

Cameras and new automated ramp gates are being installed at each interchange on Interstate-80 from Elm Creek to Alda.

Most of this work will be along the shoulders, so delays are not expected. However, there may be short periods of time when ramps are closed as crews test the new gates.

In northern Nebraska, reconstruction is expected to cause traffic delays on a stretch of Highway 281.

Work is expected to begin Monday from Spencer in Boyd County southeast for nearly four miles.

The project will include grading, million and asphalt surfacing.

Expect lane closures, reduced speeds and width restrictions.

This project should be complete by late fall.
