GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska owned Midwest Express and American Service Line out of Green Bay, Wisconsin are coming together to expand their businesses in Grand Island.

"Grand Island is a great city, nice Midwestern atmosphere," America Service Line President, Scott Willert said. "A lot of very nice people that I've had the opportunity to meet and I look forward to talking to more folks. It says a lot about grand island with the number of folks that came on this beautiful day."
The companies hosted two different ribbon cuttings on Wednesday. One to represent their new partnership and one for their new cattle truck wash.
"It's going to be good." Midwest Express President Craig Dixson said. "We're going to take our energy and their energy and we're going to compile them together. We're going to compress forward and create bigger and better things."
Craig Dixson and his family has owned businesses in the area for decades. They say this partnership was a great opportunity to his company to expand locally.
"Central Nebraska has been a bed of great opportunities for us as far as great team members and work ethic here in central Nebraska," Dixson said. "Folks that work are really good. We want to be able to continue to partake, utilizing good team members and growing it together."
It's not just these two companies looking to grow in GI. The number of people and business planting their roots has been increasing year after year.
"We have a number of businesses coming in and growing in Grand Island," Grand Island Chamber of Commerce's Courtney Lierman said. "I think that says a lot about our community. We definitely are not stagnant, we are continuing to grow. Population is continuing to grow as well. Our opportunities are endless here."
