A two-vehicle crash led to a slowdown of traffic during rush hour Tuesday in downtown Grand Island.

Grand Island Police said the crash happened just before 5 p.m. when a gray van ran the red light at the intersection of 2nd Street and Eddy Street. The van crashed into a vehicle that had the right of way, putting the vehicle on its side.

Authorities reduced traffic to just one lane while they worked the scene.

Fortunately, all involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries. The driver of the gray van, Michael Roe, was cited by GIPD for disobeying a stop light.
