UNL equestrian team member crowned as Miss Rodeo Nebraska

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - It was a great day for pageantry in North Platte.

Twenty-one-year-old Joeli Walrath of Ashton, Nebraska, was crowned as Miss Rodeo Nebraska Wednesday Night at the Buffalo Bill Rodeo.

Walrath is studying equine science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

She is an active member of the UNL equestrian team and competes in collegiate horse judging.

Walrath is also involved with the UNL rodeo club and team and serves as the promotions officer for the University of Nebraska Rodeo Association executive board.

She hopes to develop a mobile equine sport rehabilitation service for rodeo horses.
