HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It takes many factors to produce a healthy and productive work force, and that diversity is reflected in activities being in Wellbeing Week from the Hastings Chamber of Commerce. The week long set of activities takes place from September 16 to 20. The week is put on by the Wellforce committee of the Chamber.
Among activities available to the public are free seminars on financial planning, insurance overviews, Medicare drug plans and more. It also includes free admission all week to the Hastings YMCA and free group exercise classes.
It all fits in the idea of creating a happy and productive work force and community.
"Our well being is more than just our physical well being," said Hastings Chamber of Commerce Wellforce Committee chair Becky Sullivan. "There are a lot of components to whole person health."
Sullivan says if a person is worried about their finances, retirement planning or overall security, it takes away from all-around fitness and well being.
All full listing of activities and seminars can be found at the Chamber of Commerce web site.
Twelve businesses are offering their services for the various seminars and activities. Most do not require pre-registration. You can just show up and participate in the activity that interests you.
People that attend three of more activities can have a participation card signed and they will be eligible for drawings for Hastings Chamber Dollars and other prizes.
