Wreaths Across America returns to GI cemetery

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery is bringing back the nationwide campaign to place a holiday wreath on every veterans' graveside across America.

The cemetery has over 1,000 buried vets, but last year only raised enough money to place wreaths on 284 of them. They are hoping to raise enough this year for everyone to get one.

The cemetery staff says it's all about respecting and giving back to those who gave so much for us.

"They gave a lot for us and this is what we can do for them," Office Manager Jennifer Hill told Local4 News. "They sacrificed a lot for us so this is just one way we can show respect."
