BDS stands alone atop Class D2 for second straight season

LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) Bruning-Davenport/Shickley volleyball won another five-set thriller on Championship Saturday to claim its second straight Class D2 state title. The Eagles won all three of their matches in Lincoln in five sets in route to its second title in school history.

Junior Macy Kamler paced the Eagles with 30 kills, as Kari Jo Alfs squad totaled 69 kills against the fifth-seeded Humphrey St. Francis Flyers.

For the second straight season, it took BDS five-sets in the title game to come away as champions and to finish with a record 30-4.
