Broncos earn one-seed in National Tournament
The fourth-ranked Hastings College women's basketball team is the number one seed in the Cramer Bracket of the NAIA National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Broncos finished the season 30-3. Even though they did not win their conference tournament, there was no question they would get an at-large bid.
"It's just kind of a mindset thing. It's kind of hard when you kind of know that you've already made it in but it's nice to know who you're going to be playing and whose on your side of the bracket," GPAC Player of the Year, Shandra Farmer said. "It's just a huge mindset thing, you have to go into the tournament ready to play. It's kind of a clear slate, anything can happen at the National Tournament so we just have to get into the mindset that we have to be ready to go and play our game and play hard."
Hastings College plays Johnson & Wales (Fla.) in the first round, next Thursday, March 5.
