The Lady Broncos started off looking to compete as they went back and forth with the Bruins in the first set. Starting off with a good start but unfortunately letting the Bruins pull away at the end and win the set 25-19.

Set two didn't start in favor for the Lady Broncos as they found themselves down early. At one point down 7-2 to the Bruins. With a spark midway through the second, the Lady Broncos were able to tie it up 10-10 with the help from Lucy Skoch (JR/Hastings, NE). Both Teams kept it close going back and forth until the Bruins were able to pull away late. Eventually finishing the set on a 10-4 run winning 25-18.

Third set both teams came out swinging going point for point for the most part. With neither team able to grow their lead more than two points. With the help of Danielle Bruha (JR/Ord, NE) and Skoch both playing defensive roles during this set, the Lady Broncos were able to tie it up 18-18 with a kill from Cassidy Ostrand (SR/Central City, NE). As the Lady Broncos seemed to lose momentum the Bruins were able create a spark and finished off the game on a 7-1 run, dropping the final set 25-19.

Offensive struggle around the board as only two Lady Broncos were able to go positive with their hitting percentage. Bruha in her season debut, led the team with 8 kills on 22 attempts and was responsible for 9 points. Emily Lenners (SR/Adams, NE) was able to take advantage of her opportunities by having 4 kills on 9 attempts hitting .444 on the night. Bailey Lukasiewicz (SO/Farwell, NE) led the team in digs with 11.

Jaisee Stinson (FR/Omaha, NE) and Claira Thede (JR/St. Paul, NE) did their part when it came to assist, as they were able to provide all but one of the teams total assists. Stinson leading with 14 and Thede following it up with 7 of her own.

The Lady Broncos look to pick up their first win on the year tomorrow. They will have two matches, first one at 12:00 pm CST against #3 Grand View University and then again at 4:00 pm CST against #10 Eastern Oregon.
