DCB celebrates first state title

DANNEBROG, Neb. (KSNB) - Dannebrog-Cairo-Boelus (DCB) celebrated its first Class C State Legion Title. It is the first time in the teams history the won and dominated down the stretch winning its last 14 games.

"I think everybody's mentality just changed this year," DCB Center fielder, Dawson Caspersen said. "We took it one game at a time and just things went well and we got a state championship."

While the mentality changed, DCB left fielder Payton Dowse said he was skeptical at the beginning of the season.

"At first, no, I didn't think we would pull something like this," Dowse sadi. "As the season kept on we just kept on winning and winning and I was like maybe we can do this and then we ended up doing it."

DCB ended the season with a record of 29-4.
