Davis starting for Lopers against Lincoln University

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The University of Nebraska- Kearney football team will start Redshirt-Freshmen T.J. Davis after he got his first career start for the Lopers against Northeastern State. Davis only threw for 22 yards on two completions but rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns.

"We feel like he is a doing a good job. You know the running aspect has something to do with our triple option attack," UNK head coach, Josh Lynn said. "He's doing a good job running the ball and his reads are good as well."

Davis starts over senior Alex McGinnis who has thrown for 584 yards, 4 touchdowns and completed 58.8 percent of his passes.

The Lopers travel to Jefferson City, Mo to play winless Lincoln University. Kickoff set for 2 p.m.
