HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - St. Cecilia senior running-back Micah Heil is "Mr. Do It All," for the Bluehawks' football team. His style is running fast and hitting hard. Last Friday against Freeman, that style delivered 205 rushing-yards and four touchdowns.
"It was unbelievable. You know everyone was hyped at the end. When I heard I got 200, the only thing going through my mind was there's no way," Heil said. "Coach [Cody Jackson] just kept on patting me on the back and I just kept on thanking my lineman the whole entire game."
One of the biggest plays of the game was when the Bluehawks' came out of the locker room up, 21-7, and on the first play from scrimmage, Heil scampered for an 80-yard touchdown.
"Coach called the play and you know we hadn't ran it yet, so let's see how this goes," Heil said. "I just bust out of there and as soon as I see that hole in the end zone I just sprinted the whole entire way."
After the play, Heil took a quick breather than was back on defense breaking up a key third down play to get the offense back on the field.
"He just likes to go and hit. He likes to get into people He likes to be physical," Bluehawk head coach Cody Jackson said. "The mentality he has about football and just about life to go and take things. He earns everything he has."
St. Cecilia travels to Gibbon on Friday, Sept. 13.
