GICC boy's basketball balanced attack leads to 4-0 start

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Through four games the Crusaders are perfect on the season.

The Crusaders practice dribbling drills during practice.

Picking up right where they left off when they went 18-8 a year ago. They returned three starters from a last year's squad, to go along with several other talented players that bring a lot to the floor.

Setting the Crusaders up for a chance at a third straight state tourney appearance.

"We have five, six, seven guys that can score the ball. Shoot it, score inside in the paint. We have a number of guys that are good with their back to the basket, can post up and get us points in the paint that way," said GICC boy's basketball coach Tino Martinez. "So I think the biggest thing I can see that is going to be glaring to people is that we can score it in a lot of different ways from a lot of different people."

The Crusaders, in class C-2 this year, should be a favorite to make a run at the state title.
