HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings High football welcomes in York for a Week 6 District showdown. The Tigers sport a spread offense, while the Dukes want to beat you on the ground.

Both coaches know what the other is trying to do, it is just going about stopping it.

"They've got a special quarterback, great teams generally start with a great quarterback," York football coach, Glen Snodgrass said. "They've definitely got that and it makes it even more challenging on the defense when his is a run or pass guy. He definitely is that, he definitely can run option many different ways."

"York's a very physical football team. They've got kids who know how to win. They've had some struggles this year as far as losing close games," Hastings football coach, Charlie Shoemaker said. " I expect them to come in with a very good game plan and they're very well-coached. They're a physical team. So, we are going to have to play well and take care of the football."

Under the lights at Lloyd Wilson Field, the Tigers will look to show why they belong in the Class B state title conversation, while the Dukes will look to turn its season around.
