HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings High boys basketball team is expecting to have their best season in quite some time.
The Tigers practice days before their season opener.
The Tigers finished 14-7 a year ago, and return virtually everyone.
Including their leading scorer Connor Creech, who averaged over 17 points a game, and several seniors with valuable experience.
They also welcome in the 6'8" Adams Central transfer Haggan Hilgendorf, who was First-Team All-State a year ago.
From top to bottom the tigers look primed for a big year, and look to make it back to the state tournament for the first time since 2004.
And possibly win it, for the first time since 1954. When Tom Osborne sported the orange and black.
The Tiger open up the season this Thursday at Seward.
