KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The University of Nebraska- Kearney football team is off to its best start since it entered the MIAA in 2012. The Lopers are 4-2, which marks the first time they are two games over .500 in eight season.

In his third season in Kearney, Head Coach Josh Lynn knows all too well how hard it is to win in the MIAA.

"The MIAA is the hardest Division II conference in football, in the nation. Every team's good. You better bring your best effort every week or you're going to get beat," Lynn said. "That's not only been a transition for our football team but for myself. You never know how good the MIAA is until you're in it and playing week in against the coaches we play."

Next game for the Lopers is at home, Oct. 19. They host seventh-ranked Northwest Missouri State.
