Loper football wants win over NW Missouri St. to be "stepping stone" for program

KEARNEY, Neb (KSNB) - The University of Nebraska-Kearney football team got its biggest win in program history beating then seventh-ranked Northwest Missouri State last Saturday, Oct. 19, 24-17. It was the Lopers first win over a top-10 team in team history.

"Hopefully we're not done and this is a step forward. This doesn't define our season," UNK Football Coach, Josh Lynn said. "We still have four games left, it's a great win. However we need to move forward and get ready for these next four games in the MIAA."

It does not get any easy for the Blue and Gold, as they travel to face rival Fort Hays State on Oct. 26.
