Lopers using running back by committee

KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - The University of Nebraska - Kearney football team has a luxury not a lot of teams in the MIAA can say they have. The Lopers have five backs who all have talent and could see playing time this fall.

The backs include Darrius Webb, Montrez Jackson, David Goodwin, Dayton Sealey and Garrett Meyer. The issue for third year head coach Josh Lynn, finding touches for all of them.

"It's going to be committee sure. We're doing some different things in our offense to make sure, we're trying to get all those guys touches," Lynn said. It is a great luxury and it creates a lot of competition in that group. You better come to work everyday or you're probably not going to touch the ball."

In 2018, the Lopers rushed for a MIAA-leading 2958 yards and 268.9 yards a game.
