KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - UNK football had a lackluster 2018 season, finishing 5-6 and in the bottom third of the MIAA conference. Looking toward this season, the Lopers have 44 upperclassmen which should give them an advantage in what looks to be a tight race in the middle of the conference.

"Two to nine, it is whoever gets the votes, you know what I'm saying. We're right in that mix. I think we will be voted a little lower," UNK head football coach, Josh Lynn said. "However when we took over this program we were in the cellar. Just to be in that conversation with those top three to nine. And we will be right in the conversation with everybody."
