HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Adams Central boys basketball team lost its three top scorers from a year ago. Now in 2019, Zac Foster's squad is led by some new faces looking to make its fourth trip to the State Tournament in six years.

"We really like our guys. We really liked the guys we had coming back. We do have some really good players and we have some players who have played varsity basketball before." Foster said. "We got a lot of pieces that we like and we're still in the infancy of trying to figure out who we are cause we have a lot of new people. But we feel really good about the guys that we have."

"Our new guys that are stepping in obviously Tyler (Slechta), Cam Foster and myself," Adams Central Junior Gavin Lipovsky said. "I think that we were ready for this and we're stepping up and I think we're playing great so far."

The Patriots have started out 5-0, holding teams to 32.8 points per game. They are back in action this Saturday, Dec. 21 taking on Fillmore Central on the road.
