GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The defending Class B state champs got a scare early on in their B-4 District Final game against 13-seed Omaha Mercy. The four-seed Northwest Vikings fell behind 11-4 before rallying in a big way to advance to the State Tournament, 57-41.

Claire Caspersen led the team with 18 points, while Lauren Hauser and Shanae Suttles added 14 and 11, respectively.

The Vikings move on to Lincoln for the second straight year where they look for their fifth state title in school history.
