Toughness key for Hastings Five Points Bank in postseason

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hastings Five Points Bank Chiefs are the top seed in the Area 7 Tournament out in North Platte. While the rest of the teams battled it out in the heat, the Chiefs held practice out at Duncan Field for the first round.

With the postseason on the horizon, Head Coach Kevin Asher said toughness is going to be the key in crunch time.

"You gotta be able to handle tough situations. Our guys have done a great job all year commanding the mound and having quality at-bats,:" Asher said. "The team that usually does those little things, the intangibles of being tough and making the tough out. Making the extra play here or there are the teams that are going to keep moving on."
