UNK offense stalls in the second half, falls 20-17

KEARNEY, Neb.-- The UNK football team started off strong, racing out to a 17-0 lead. Unfortunately, the offense stalled after that in a 20-17 loss to Emporia St.

The Lopers took their opening drive in for a touchdown, when Darius Webb scored from nine yards out.

UNK's defense then picked off a tipped ball, giving the Lopers great field position at the eight yard line.

Webb would finish it off from there to make it 14-0.

Emporia St. would wake up in the second half, scoring the go-ahead touchdown with less than six minutes to play.

With the loss, the Lopers move to 2-1 on the season. They'll travel to Pittsburg St. next Saturday.
