UNO grad takes the mound one final time for Sodbusters

HASTINGS, Neb (KSNB) - University of Nebraska- Omaha graduate, Tyler Daugherty took the mound for the Hastings Sodbusters one final time tonight. Daughtery was not expected to pitch but after one phone call with Sodbuster Owner Bryan Frew he was on his way to Duncan Field.

"It was a lot of fun. A lot of guys i got to see from last year, got to say bye to them. Got to see Brian, got to see everybody, you know it's just been a lot of fun and I've really enjoyed it," Daugherty said. "I'm gonna miss the people. The people here have been amazing to me. They have welcomed me with open arms, and I couldn't ask for anything else."

Daugherty pitched for UNO's baseball team this season pitching 26 innings and recording 5 saves.
