Reporter/MMJ in Grand Island

KSNB-TV, the NBC affiliate serving Lincoln/Hastings/Grand Island is looking for a Reporter/MMJ to tell compelling stories on various platforms. This Reporter/MMJ will be assigned to the KSNB Newsroom in Hastings, Nebraska.
The Reporter/MMJ will research, producer, shoot, write, edit and present news content on-air and on social media. This employee will be based in Grand Island, Nebraska and primary responsibilities will be to cover stories important to KSNB’s Grand Island viewers.
• Perform all the regular duties of a reporter, from story ideas to shooting, editing and going live, as well as posting on digital and social platforms.
• Be ready and willing to work various schedules depending on the staffing needs of the station
• Recognize that he/she is a high-profile representative of our news organization in the community and conduct himself/herself in a professional and cordial manner which reflects credit on KSNB.
This position requires a high level of creativity and communication. It also requires a degree in journalism or related discipline. We also need a person who is conversant and facile in story-telling on-air and on social media and who understand how the various platforms can be used to demonstrate KSNB’s commitment to hyper-local news coverage. Familiarity with WSI Max, ENPS, Avid editing, and Sony ENG equipment is a plus.
