91 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Traffic Stop

Seward, Neb. A traffic stop for improper passing and following too close on Interstate 80 in Seward County led to the seizure of 91 lbs. of marijuana and two arrests.

Just after 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2015 Chevy Tahoe for improper passing and following too close near the Pleasant Dale exit (mm388) eastbound I-80. An NSP Police Service Dog (PSD) indicated the odor of drugs coming from the rear of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 91.2 lbs. of marijuana. The marijuana was located in two suitcases and five smaller boxes in the cargo area of the SUV.

The driver of the vehicle, Paul Yang (M), 52, Fairbanks, Alaska and a passenger Youa Sheng (F), 51, Fairbanks, Alaska were both lodged in the Seward County Jail each on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.
