FURNAS COUNTY, NE -- Authorities have charged a 59-year-old man with multiple animal cruelty felonies after finding 93 dead cattle at his Furnas county feed yard.

Court documents show the charges against Steve Clason stem from an incident on January 19th in Furnas county.

The sheriff and Omaha-based Producers Livestock Credit Corp went to repossess cattle from Clason when they found the dead cattle who were left to rot and be trampled. The documents say that other cattle that were still alive on the property were in poor condition.

Clason also owed the livestock company over $2 million dollars.
