Will Wodka joined the NBC Nebraska Scottsbluff team in April 2018.
Originally from Niagara Falls, New York, Will received a journalism and digital media degree from Cleveland State University. While there, the 28-year-old gained exposure in news with an internship with WKYC Channel 3 News along with the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League.
Will’s professional career took off when he received his first position with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL as a broadcast reporter and account executive. During the 2016-17 season, Will ventured to Alabama to become the play-by-play broadcaster of the Huntsville Havoc of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
After a brief stint in Rapid City, SD working as the Game Operations Producer for the minor league hockey team there, Will ventured down to the Cornhusker State.
“I knew in my heart broadcasting was what I was meant to do,” said Wodka. “It’s rewarding to have the ability to tell other people’s stories and give them a voice.”
