Emily Pike joined the NBC Nebraska Scottsbluff news team as a reporter in October 2019.
Born and raised in the small town of Rollinsford, New Hampshire, Emily Pike spent most of her teenage years pursuing her hobby in storm chasing, driving all across the United States in search for nature’s wrath.
By 2015, Emily had graduated from Cocheco Arts and Technology Academy and had been accepted into Lyndon State College, the meteorology college of her dreams.
Emily continued to pursue storm chasing while in college and was discovered by SVL Media, a video brokering company that supplied her severe weather coverage to news networks all across the country. Emily was featured on The Weather Channel, Good Morning America and many more.
By 2017 Emily had decided to take a leave from Lyndon State College and began a career working as a videographer and in-field-producer for the national television network, WeatherNation. She covered major hurricanes and blistery blizzards further growing her passion in media.
For a short time in 2019, Emily moved to Denver, Colorado before moving to the friendly town of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and accepting her current position working as a reporter for NBC Nebraska Scottsbluff in early October.
