18-year-old found with 2 pounds of pot swallows other evidence

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - While in custody Scottsbluff man receives another violation after swallowing a bindle.

According to court records, officers pulled over Oscar Garcia for a non-working brake light. Officers noticed the 18-year-old was driving with a suspended license.

A search of the vehicle produced over two pounds of raw marijuana with THC along with two scales and wrapping papers. Officers also located beer cans inside.

During the search Garcia was seen on the in-car video footage taking a cellophane type baggie from his behind and swallowing it.

Once he was booked at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center, he later admitted to tampering with evidence and received an additional charge.

Other charges possession of marijuana greater than a pound with the intent to distribute and also minor in possession of alcohol.
