NEAR MAXWELL, Neb. (KNOP) - A Lincoln County road is washed away by July rains. Lincoln County Commissioner Joe Hewgley believes the hole was started by a badger and then washed away by heavy rains.

Cut Creek Road is in the Cottonwood Canyon area south of Maxwell. The hole is over 20 feet deep. Hewgley says the repair will not be easy to complete and it may be expensive.
