LARAMIE, Wyo. - (KNEP) - A 24-car pile-up including 19 commercial trucks shuts down a portion of I-80 in Wyoming.
According to Wyoming Highway Patrol, a trooper was checking in on motorist who slid off the roadway just before 8am Friday. Two eastbound commercial trucks who were passing by the trooper collided.
This caused a chain reaction of multiple cars and trucks crashing including one commercial truck hitting the trooper’s vehicle. Luckily, the trooper was not inside at the time and was unhurt in the crash.
Those that were injured were transported to Ivinson Memorial Hospital while others were bussed to Albany County Fairgrounds.
