GOSHEN COUNTY, Wyo. - (KNEP) - A Scottsbluff teen has died after a single vehicle rollover accident in Goshen County Monday afternoon.

According to Goshen County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in around 1:30p on Monday. The lieutenant states speed may have been a factor as the driver, 18-year-old Sydney Ancira of Scottsbluff, and her passenger were traveling westbound on County Road 50.

With neither individual having a driver’s license nor wearing a seatbelt, the passenger states a deer had jumped out onto the road. Ancira swerved and tried to overcorrect but rolled the car two or three times.

The driver was ejected but the passenger remained in the car. Both were taken to Torrington Community Hospital were Ancira later died.
