According to Sergeant Philip Eckerberg, 44-year-old Amy Siders was driving southbound on Avenue B when she suffered a medical problem. This caused the car to go off road at the corner of West 21st Street and Avenue B and continued south.
The vehicle eventually hit a brick planter, a concrete block wall and two fences before coming to a stop in the front year of a house in the 2000 block of Avenue B.
Siders was transported to Regional West for injuries received from the accident and additional treatment for the medical condition. Sergeant Eckerberg added seatbelts were not used and both front airbags were deployed.
A City of Scottsbluff road worker told NBC Nebraska, the tow truck hit a water line when taking the car away. This caused a leak which forced a partial road closure of Avenue B Wednesday afternoon.
