Authorities looking for armed and dangerous Colorado man

HENRY, Neb. A dangerous Colorado man is on the loose.

On Sunday, May 12th, law enforcement received information that Stephen Evans could be staying at a residence near Henry, Nebraska.

Officers from multiple agencies stopped two vehicles leaving the residence.

After discovering Evans was not in either of the vehicles that they searched, officers approached the residence to where Evans fled on foot toward a wooded area near the North Platte River.

Nebraska and Wyoming officers including K-9 units searched the area for more than four hours but did not locate Evans.

Evans is wanted on felony warrants in Weld County, Colorado.

Evans has an extensive criminal history and considered to be armed and dangerous.

Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Mitchell Police Department, Morrill Police Department, Gering Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol and Goshen County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the incident.
