SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - Students of Mrs. Aguallo’s class at Bluffs Middle School tackle societal topics and see how teens can help make a change.

Students created presentations that depicted how various teens throughout history have made changes in how society looks at topics such as race, gender and behavior.

Parents and students from another class walked around learning more from the various presenters. One student discussed bullying and how others have stuck up for each other while another discussed how teens can get involved in drugs to try to look cool or help get them through a tough time.

Chloe Rodgers believes her presentation, which is about a girl who isn’t letting cancer define her and is raising money for a cause, showed that as a teen they can still go out and make a difference.

Rodgers also said that the presentations helped her realize that it doesn’t matter where someone comes from they can still make a change.
