SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - An early Friday morning police chase ends in another state with charges being sought in Nebraska.

According to Scottsbluff Police Captain Tony Straub, officers were called to the Days Inn just before 2am for a report of a possible kidnapping. The male and female were seen arguing in the parking lot before driving off on a motorcycle.

Approximately 20 minutes later it was reported to officers the two had returned to the Days Inn and the male was armed with a handgun. The two fled from the hotel westbound on Highway 26. Officers tried to perform a traffic stop but the motorcycle continued to drive off.

Both Scottsbluff Police and Scotts Bluff County Deputies pursued the motorcycle through Mitchell, Morrill and Henry with speeds in excess of 90mph. When the chase entered Goshen County in Wyoming, deputies from that department took over and apprehended the two ten minutes later.

It was found the female was not the victim of a kidnapping and the male was arrested on charges in Goshen County related to the pursuit. A warrant is being sought for charges in Nebraska related to the disturbance and pursuit. No one was injured in the incident.
