City of Scottsbluff will not assist in removal of stranded vehicles

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. The City of Scottsbluff would like to remind the public that driving during these dangerous winter conditions is highly discouraged.

They say that many vehicles are getting stuck on the roadways and even much of their city equipment is stuck.

They will not be assisting in the removal of vehicles.

The City says to allow patience due to the sheer amounts of snow to be removed.

They will be concentrating on the designated snow routes, emergency routes and then work on their secondary routes.

The City says that travel is highly discouraged during and immediately after the storm.

Emergency responders may not be able to safety travel so rescue may not be possible at times.

The City says the snow plows will work the best that they can but may be pulled off the routes during the heaviest times of snow and wind.
