Crews clean up from a semi vs. car accident Friday afternoon

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - (KNEP) - UPDATE:
According to Scottsbluff Police, a little after 12:30p Friday afternoon, 84-year old Ronald Eskam was heading southbound on Avenue B and stopped at the intersection of South Beltline. Failing to yield for an oncoming semi-truck driven by 27-year-old Javier Rios, Eskam entered the intersection where the two collided.

A passenger of Eskam was transported to Regional West Medical Center with minor injuries.

The semi-truck received $2,000 in damage with Eskam's car a total loss. He was also cited for failure to yield.

Crews are clearing a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of South Beltline and Avenue B.

The accident occurred around 12:30pm Friday between a semi-truck and a car. A reporter on scene details the semi received minor damage with the car getting the brunt of the accident.

It is unknown at this time if any injuries were reported. We will continue to update as soon as more information becomes available.
