The Eastern Wyoming College ladies heading back to the College National Finals Rodeo this season. The EWC cowgirls wrap up the regular season with a second place finish in the Central Rocky Mountain Region behind champion the University of Wyoming.
The top two men and women teams in each region along with top three individuals in each men and women event in the region qualify for the CNFR.
Lancer Jacey Thompson ended her regular season in second for regional all around cowgirl. The Yoder native will compete in breakaway and goat tying at nationals.
While teammate Karissa Rayhill also is heading to nationals in goat tying and breakaway. Rounding out the ladies national team Brooke Glass, will compete in breakaway.
EWC also will be sending on the men's side Chadron Coffield to nationals. Coffield claimed the regional title in tie down roping.
Chadron State will have three qualifiers heading to Casper. Regional champion Kalane Anders in steer wrestling. Regional champion Kyle Bloomquist in bareback riding along with Miles Engelbert in bull riding. The 2019 College National Finals Rodeo is set for June 9th to June 15th in Casper, Wyoming.
