GERING, Neb. - (KNEP) - University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center to host crop production clinic in January.
The January 7th clinic will be held at the Gering Civic Center with registration at 8am and the entire event kicking off at 8:45am. The clinic will supply crop producers and agribusiness professionals information on improving their profitability and sustainability.
The cost is $80 and will include the 2020 Guide for Weed Management in Nebraska and the 2020 Crop Production Clinic Proceedings.
The clinic will also include presentations from extension specialists and educators on soil fertility, soil, water and irrigation management, insect pests, plant diseases, weeds, cropping system and agribusiness management and marketing. Topics will be tailored to meet the needs of cropping systems in the Panhandle.
They will also provide an opportunity for pesticide applicators to renew their licenses in several categories including commercial and noncommercial ag plant and demonstration/research. Private applicators can also renew their license as well.
